I was born and raised in Rochester, New York and we are huge fans of reggae and other caribbean music. Living in Atlanta, I don’t hear as much influence on the radio and clubs, but there are some known spots that will really get you going.
Today I decided to hit a day party at Carribean Fiesta in Duluth. Just off Pleasant Hill Rd, this restaurant features a live deejay and full menu starting at 3pm. I haven’t seen females dance so hard at a day party in years! I thought somebody was going to get pregnant! The downside, however, is that it is an 18+ crowd, so you better watch who you’re buying a drink for. Despite a few of them being young & reckless, there were no incidents and the deejay did a great job mixing up the genres, even offering a little Jay-Z and Migos from time to time.
