I finally got around to replacing my Sony A7riii. I’m honestly still upset, but I managed to purchase a Sony A7iii. It doesn’t have quite the same resolution, but it’s definitely fitting the bill! So Tiuana Bell hit me with an impromptu invite to a brand new vibe called PLAYSOMN. It was a whole vibe with music, liquor, tacos and lots of great networking!
What is PLAYSOMN?
PLAYSOMN is described as a NEW pop-up art gallery experience.
PLAYSOMN is an event designed to bring together various professionals and stakeholders within the music industry, including artists, producers, managers, record label representatives, music journalists, and more.
The primary purpose of such a mixer is to create networking opportunities, showcase new music, and foster collaboration and business relationships.
PLAYSOMN was put together by Dizzy Dain, C L A X (The 85 South Show) & Tiuana Bell. They offered fresh and tasty beef and chicken tacos and vegan empandas for a just a few bucks! Tyra Marie provided amazing, yet reasonably priced drinks. So this was a listening and jamming session where artists could literally pull up and play (or somewhat perform) their music. This is a goldmine for independent artists who want to test their work on a focus group of sorts. Equally interesting was the venue! While I didn’t take photos of the artwork (e.g. I hear artists hate that shit), there were defintiely some featured pieces that could accent any home or business.
